That's some interesting history...

    In 1642, theater was outlawed in England; King Charles I was beheaded and Oliver Cromwell took over the throne in what is now referred to as the Puritan Revolution.  In 1680, Charles II restored the thrown, and theater was once again allowed, although the new form that came out catered to the aristocracy.

Based on the pictures above, where do you think that the poor people, also known as the "groundlings," watched the play in the theater. *Hint - think about the word "groundling."
